What is coaching?
Most of us want to experience change and improvement... in our relationships, work life, personal habits, level of satisfaction, spiritual practice, etc. But sometimes, no matter how hard we try, it just doesn’t happen. That’s where coaching comes in.
Coaching involves setting goals, building new habits, developing capacities and shifting into new ways of being, thinking, and taking action.
Coaching isn't therapy. It doesn't deal with mental illness or spend a lot of time analyzing the past. Instead, it focuses on where you are right now, where you want to go, and what you need to do to get there. Coaching provides support, encouragement, insight, feedback and accountability.
As your coach, I will help you live the life you long for. I'm dedicated to your well-being and success and I will partner with you to create positive change in any area of your life.
My Coaching Philosophy
I view my clients wholistically, addressing issues of mind, body and spirit, as well as the various areas of life -- personal, professional, etc. I help my clients create a life that’s more harmonious, consistent and aligned. In other words, a more integrated life.
I believe each of us has a purpose. We have inherent dignity and immeasurable worth. We are meant to be fully alive! What may be holding you back is poor self-knowledge, faulty beliefs, fear, bad habits and a lack of confidence.
I believe what you do must stem from who you are. And the choices you make shape the person you become. Your true happiness lies not in exclusively focusing on yourself but in giving yourself to the people and issues you're passionate about.
Women approach life, relationships and goals differently then men. Even science tells us the sexes are different -- the way we process information, the way we communicate, the way we approach the world. That's why your needs and gifts as a woman must be acknowledged in the coaching process. At the same time, you're still a unique individual and that's why I tailor my coaching to your particular needs and issues.
Who I Coach
One of my specialties is coaching women -- busy professionals, stay-at-home moms, students, women in transition (newly married, parenting, separated, divorced, retired, widowed, career change, etc.), seekers, women of faith, women entrepreneurs, women in the arts, media and non-profit worlds, and any woman who's tired of feeling overwhelmed, over-worked, uninspired, confused or unsatisfied.
I also coach executives, couples, groups and organizations.

How to Choose a Coach
Coaches hail from many backgrounds. Some are trained as therapists, some are former business executives, and others are experts in fields such as health, education, writing and consulting. Now that there are schools and credentialing bodies for coaching, many people seek specific certification. Anybody can hang a shingle as a Coach but there are a number of things you should consider when choosing the right one for you:
Education & Experience: Coaching credentials and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Background: Enough life experience to give perspective, balance and insight.
Communication Skills: Communicates effectively, listens well, and relates comfortably with you.
Credibility: Practices what she/he preaches.
Character: A person of integrity, responsibility, and reliability.
"Click" Factor: There should be an ease of rapport and a gut sense that this is a good fit.
How Coaching Works
I coach clients around the world by phone and email, as well as in-person. The coaching process often requires “homework,” like reading and writing exercises or specific tasks to accomplish. Together, we’ll design these assignments for your unique needs and preferences.
My Sessions & Fees
Individuals: Sessions can be booked during weekdays, evenings or weekends upon mutual agreement. Fees are paid in advance by check or money order. A minimum of three months is required for new clients.
The first session -- the "Discovery Session" -- goes for approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Cost: $200
Then you may choose from the following options:
Two 45 min sessions per month (with email in between as needed): $250/month OR Three 30 min sessions per month (with email in between as needed): $250/month
Couples/Groups: Two one-hour sessions per month are $200/month per person. (Three-month commitment required.)
Executives/Organizations: Fees are priced based on specific needs and timelines.
I occasionally offer reduced fees depending on a client’s circumstances (student, unemployed, etc.)
Note: I coach many clients who live outside the United States, but my fees are listed in U.S. currency.
